Abstract T1 · from the patent
The power source can include a substrate with a cavity, radioactive material disposed within the cavity that emits radiation particles, and particle-converting material that converts emitted particles into light. A sealing layer hermetically seals the converting and radioactive material within the cavity, and a photovoltaic device adjacent the substrate converts at least a portion of the emitted light into electrical energy.
Why it ranks where it does
Radioluminescent power path (isotope→light→PV).
